#### 20 Years of Mettnau Open Air 2006–2026 Zeller Kultur e.V. presents: METTNAU JAZZ OPEN (Air) featuring **Wolfgang Obert’s License to Swing.** A captivating sound of trumpet and saxophone, backed by a rhythm section. The music of “Wolfgang Obert’s License to Swing” is characterized by the captivating sound of trumpet and saxophone plus a rhythm section. Selected swinging jazz standards combined with groovy original compositions create an exciting mix that blends the familiar with the new, allowing the audience to partake in rousing improvisations and pulsating rhythms. The lineup of “License to Swing” follows in the tradition of the classic quintets of the 1950s, such as the Miles Davis Quintet, Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers, or Max Roach Plus 4. Bandleader, saxophonist, and composer Wolfgang Obert has been a fixture of the Berlin jazz scene for over 25 years. He has performed not only in the capital’s hottest jazz clubs but also internationally. In addition, he has performed with his bands at major events for VIPs such as actor Sir Sean Connery and politicians like Helmut Schmidt and Angela Merkel. He is also the author of “Play the Blues,” an online course and live workshop that has enjoyed international success for 10 years.
